Wolf wall oven repairacross South Florida.
E series and M series single and double wall ovens, the older L series, and the convection steam ovens. Bake dead with broil alive, a convection fan that drones, a heavy door that dropped an inch, a control panel that stopped responding, a steam oven that says fill the reservoir when it is full. $59 diagnostic, free with the repair, same-day dispatch across Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach.

Dual convection, relay boards and a very heavy door
Wolf wall ovens are electric, which means the failure vocabulary is boards, elements and sensors, not igniters and valves. The E series and the M series that replaced it run bake, broil and two convection fans through a relay board under the control of an electronic module with a touch panel on the M series and knobs on the E. The dual convection fans are what makes a Wolf bake evenly on three racks and what makes the oven drone when a fan bearing starts to go. The L series before them is the same idea with older electronics, and parts remain available.
The pattern we see in South Florida: a mode that quietly disappears, bake works and broil is dead or convection modes vanish from the menu, which is a relay board or the element it feeds. An oven that bakes 25 to 50 degrees off, which is the sensor drifting or the door bleeding heat because the hinges sagged under a door that weighs more than most. A touch panel on the M series that stops answering after a steam-cleaning session or a boil-over. And on the convection steam ovens, the reservoir and its sensors, which is a Wolf-specific subsystem with its own faults.
Meter the element before the board, probe the oven before we leave
Every Wolf oven diagnosis is measured. Element resistance and relay actuation at the board for a dead mode; sensor resistance against the spec table for a temperature complaint; door alignment and gasket for heat loss. We carry sensors, hinge kits, gaskets and the common elements; relay boards, control modules and touch panels come through Sub-Zero Group distribution in two to four business days, and we say so at the quote.
The $59 diagnostic is free when you approve the repair, every part carries the 90-day parts and labor warranty, and the repair is logged against the serial. On a double oven we test both cavities before leaving, because the second one is often a month behind the first.
Wolf wall oven repair — failures we see.
Documented from the platform, not a brochure.
A relay on the board stopped feeding an element, or the element itself opened. We meter the element first, because it is the cheap answer, and confirm the relay at the board before ordering. Classic Wolf electric oven fault.
The oven sensor has drifted, or the door has dropped on its hinges and bleeds heat at the top. We measure the sensor, check the door, set the control offset where the module allows, and verify with a probe.
A fan motor bearing on one of the two convection fans. Caught at the noise it is a motor; run to failure it can take the blade. A Wolf that has started humming a new note is worth a call before the note changes.
Hinge wear. Wolf wall oven doors are heavy, and after years of daily use the hinges sag the last inch. Owners blame the thermostat. A hinge kit and gasket restore the seal and the temperature behavior together.
Moisture under the panel after steam cleaning or a boil-over, or a failed touch controller. We dry and test before replacing, and only quote the control module after the panel tests good.
The reservoir sensor, the steam generator or scale from Miami water. We descale, test the sensor and the generator, and replace what failed. A subsystem most shops have never opened.
A thermal fuse or the door lock motor tripped during the clean cycle. We replace the fuse, test the lock, and say what we say about every brand: self-clean on an oven past six years is a gamble.
The cooling fan is supposed to run until the cavity cools; a fan that never stops has a thermostat or board issue. A dead light is a socket, and on older units a cracked socket can trip the breaker.
Typical Wolf wall oven repair costs.
| Repair | Typical range | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Diagnostic visit | $59 | Free with repair |
| Oven temperature sensor | $200–$350 | Probe-verified calibration included |
| Bake, broil or convection element | $260–$460 | |
| Convection fan motor | $300–$520 | Cheaper at the first drone than after failure |
| Door hinge kit and gasket | $320–$560 | Restores seal and bake accuracy |
| Thermal fuse or door lock motor | $220–$400 | |
| Relay board | $450–$800 | Only after meter confirmation |
| Touch panel or control module (M series) | $500–$950 | |
| Steam generator or reservoir sensor | $320–$640 | Descaling included |
Typical parts-plus-labor ranges for South Florida jobs on Wolf E, M and L series wall ovens and convection steam ovens; double ovens run higher when both cavities need work. Written quote after the $59 diagnostic, free if you approve the repair. 90-day parts and labor warranty.

Wolf wall oven repair — questions we get
My Wolf oven bakes but will not broil. Is that the board?
Sometimes. It is either the broil element or the relay that feeds it, and we meter the element first because it is the cheaper answer, $260 to $460. A relay board is $450 to $800 and only quoted after the element tests good and the relay fails at the board.
Why does my Wolf wall oven bake unevenly now?
Usually the sensor has drifted or the door has sagged and bleeds heat. We measure the sensor against spec, $200 to $350 if it is the part, and check the hinges, $320 to $560 for a kit and gasket. Either way we verify with a probe before we leave.
The convection fan on my Wolf is loud. Can I keep using it?
For a while, but the bearing is going and a failed motor can take the blade with it. Replacing it at the noise stage runs $300 to $520 and is meaningfully cheaper than after failure.
Do you repair Wolf convection steam ovens?
Yes, including the reservoir sensor, the steam generator and the scale that Miami water leaves in both. $320 to $640 with descaling included. It is a Wolf-specific subsystem and a routine ticket for us.
Are you an authorized Wolf service center?
No. Berne is an independent service company, not affiliated with Sub-Zero Group. For an oven under factory warranty, factory-designated service protects the coverage. Out of warranty, an independent shop with deep Wolf experience is faster and cheaper, and we say so if your case belongs on the other side of that line.
