The classic Dacor gas-range call. The hot-surface igniter glows but ages below the amperage the safety valve needs, so the oven heats slowly, cycles erratically, or never lights. When a surface burner keeps clicking after it's lit (or clicks with all knobs off), moisture or grease has tracked into a spark switch or the module is failing. New-old-stock boards are scarce for some models — we'll tell you when a board-level repair (re-soldered relays) is the smarter path than hunting a discontinued part.

Renaissance-era electronic range controls develop dead keys and phantom faults, often humidity-correlated — working fine by afternoon, dead on a muggy morning. The membrane and the ERC behind it both age. We test which layer failed before quoting, because the membrane alone is a much smaller job than the control.

A Dacor oven door that won't sit flush bleeds heat, runs long bakes, and trips thermal limits. Hinge and spring kits are still obtainable for most legacy models, and a re-hinged door with a fresh gasket restores temperature behavior owners assumed needed a new thermostat.

Dacor's sealed burners use flame-sensing re-ignition — when the sensor fouls or drifts, the burner clicks intermittently while lit or drops flame at simmer. Cleaning electrode and sensor geometry fixes some; failed sensors and harness corrosion (common near salt air) need parts. Either way it's diagnosable in one visit.

Samsung-era Dacor columns follow modern column logic: a compartment drifting warm with the compressor running points to the evaporator fan or an incomplete defrost cycle, both of which log faults. We pull the fault history and test the actual circuit. Sealed-system work, when truly needed, is done by our EPA-608 certified techs.
