Background
A fridge that needs refrigerant twice in a year has a leak, and somebody has to find it. I work through the system in order — condenser, process tube, evaporator, the joints inside the cabinet — with a heated-diode detector and, when it comes to that, nitrogen and soap.
What I work on
Built-in and freestanding refrigerators, freezers, and the sealed-system side of ice makers. Leak location and repair, recovery and recharge, filter-drier replacement, defrost and temperature control diagnostics.
